HRN John 8.32aScripture Saturation

Written by Sandy Blaser

I find it is extremely important to keep God’s word close. The Lord understands our nature and weaknesses and our tendencies to push aside thoughts that don’t seem urgent at the moment. He also knows how the devil uses our minds as his playground. This is why the Lord commands us to keep His Holy Word before us.

I need to take the initiative to put God’s word in my own path before me. I begin by searching the scriptures for a word that pertains to my present circumstances and write them on card and post them where I will constantly see them. (Bathroom mirror, dashboard of the car, above kitchen sink, school locker, etc.) Thus, God’s word will become apart of my everyday thinking. This is developing a mind of Christ.

As I see these cards I’ve posted, I repeat out loud the promises I’ve written. This gives me much encouragement to continue my journey.

My prayer for those whom are reading this…..

I pray O Lord that your words’ of life will be forever written upon my heart. May I keep your words of life ever before me. May I continue to faithfully saturate my life with your powerful promises. For I know Father that your promises are yes and amen. As I saturate my life with your words, may I follow your commands and may I be an example of your power and love to all around me. Jesus, I desire to serve you and only you. For you are the way, the truth and the life.

Over the years, as the Word of God continues to fill your heart and home, your faith will begin to arise to new heights. You will come to know who you are in Christ Jesus. You will learn to live by faith and not by sight. May the words of God be forever written upon your heart.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5
