Lady The Wife of

Noble  Character

This scripture speaks of how to be an excellent Wife and Mother, but the first step is to spend time with the Lord, preparing your heart and drawing closer to the heart of the Father. No matter what stage you are in life, or in your walk with the Lord, striving to become a Proverbs 31 Woman should be put into practice daily. So I encourage you to keep the scriptures posted before you. The ‘Proverbs 31’ Wife is a good provider and protector for all those she loves and cares about. She may be wise to the ways of the world, but her life is guided by the wisdom of God. The key to being a Wife of noble character is found in verse 30, …”But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised”.

My prayer is that you will become a dynamic reflection of God’s amazing love!

Proverbs 31 Woman

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.

She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.

She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Potholes of Life

written by: Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

These Scriptures have served as a constant reminder of the Lord’s Power, His Compassion and His Faithfulness to me! Even though the doctors were telling me otherwise…I choose to trust God’s word and allow my faith to soar to higher heights.

This is what God says about HIS Word…“So is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:11)

He took up our (my) infirmities and carried our (my)diseases.”(Matthew 8:17) “He was wounded for our (my) transgressions, He was bruised for our (my) iniquities: the chastisement of our (my) peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we (I am) are healed.” (Isaiah 53)

My son, (daughter) pay attention to what I say; listen closely to My words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8)

These promises are just an example of many I found in the Bible. I printed them on post cards and posted them all over my walls, doors & mirrors. One of the first things I had to put into practice was learning how to guard my mind from stinkin’ thinkin’!! As fear would try to grip my heart, I began reading the posted scriptures out loud! (really loud so the devil could hear me!) I daily surrendered my all unto God’s mighty hands and planted my feet on a solid foundation of Jesus Christ. As I stood steadfast in Faith, I began rejoicing and worshiping the Lord with all that was within me! I learned to not to worry and fret, and to never go on what I seen, heard or how I felt. With a child like faith I began to simply Trust and Believe that my Heavenly Father had a divine purpose for my life and His perfect Will shall be done…In His most precise time!!!

Years have come and gone and I can gladly testify that my Jesus is Faithful…I am a victorious Over-comer!!

Yes, life happens and sooner or later there will be challenges and hurdles to cross. But you can prepare yourself! I encourage you to spend quiet time in the Word, in worship and in Prayer. As the trials come, you may find yourself searching for why’s & why not’s, but …”Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Prov 3:5-6)

As you face the impossible; Place your faith in the unseen hand of God. You will find the Lord is ever so faithful to all His promises. So when you hit a pothole in the path of life, remember, God has not forgotten you! He sees you, He knows you, He loves you and awaits with open arms!! Together you will get through this trial!!  Listen to this beautiful song…..
