Use Me Lord”

Written by:  Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

When Christ Jesus gave himself on Calvary as our Supreme Sacrifice,  our debt was stamped ‘paid in full’!  But also let us not forget, Jesus gave the Great Commission to all His children!!  God is the one who convicts, saves and sanctifies, but He calls you and I to be a part of that process on earth by being a witness for Christ.  But that doesn’t necessarily mean you must go all the way to Africa to be a missionary!!  God desires that we work the mission field around us, right where we have been planted.  He relies on you & I to be a testimony to our family, our neighbors, even at the yard Sales, grocery store and in the doctor’s office & hospitals, etc.  We are to let His light shine to all those we meet on a daily basis.  We are called to be His mouthpiece, His hands, His feet; every area of our lives is to be a reflection of  our Lord’s heart.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  (Ephesians 2:10)

That means we must ‘come out’ of the comfort of our churches and our homes and begin taking it upon ourselves to be an expression of His love, thus proving to the world that God genuinely cares.

People are hurting every where you turn.  Rather it be spiritual, physical, emotional or a financial need… God does hear the sound of their desperate cries.  But did you realize, it’s YOU & I that may be holding the Key to their blessing?!!  Therefore, it’s very important for us to be in tune with God’s still small inner voice of the Holy Spirit, gently guiding and directing us.  After all, for we do want to operate with Wisdom!

So the next time the Lord nudges your heart, unfold your arms and begin lending that helping hand, a listening ear, or maybe giving a testimony or an encouraging word.  You may find that it’s your very act of caring that brings a ray of hope into someone’s desperate situation.

You see, Love promotes Hope which can come through numerous acts of kindness.  May be the Lord will instruct you to pay that overdue electric bill or rent payment.  Or might be a car needs repairing or a need for medicine or warm clothing.     Rather it’s giving a ride or a cup of hot coffee, praying for someone’s healing or simply listening with a smile, giving a gentle hug or a basket of groceries, “Hope” can come through so many different avenues.  Just remember this…It’s however the Lord instructs you personally.  That’s what you should do.

I share with you this amazing  thought the Lord has just dropped into my Spirit….”A beautiful miracle could take place when a heart filled with Christ’s love begins to connect with another’s heart…The very act of your obedience to God’s voice, may just be someone’s avenue to Abundant Life & Eternal Hope!”  My cry is….”Oh God, help me not to miss those divine opportunities”!!

Everyday life for so many people is very challenging,  filled with pain, sorrow, loneliness, hunger, hopelessness, depression…etc. etc.  So, let us remember… You & I may be the only ‘Bible’ some may ever read.  Our actions, our touch, and our love, speaks loudly in this crazy mixed up world we live in.  Therefore, I encourage you to accept this challenge…Lt’s step up to the plate; surrender ALL unto the Lord saying,,, “Here am I Lord, Use me!”  And then submit yourself into His perfect Will and His Way.

With the help of the Lord, may we begin opening our eyes and our hearts, gazing into the world through the eyes of Christ.  It doesn’t take long to find simple, everyday people just waiting for our touch of love & kindness.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.  (1 Corinthians 13:13)

“Jesus”…The Music of My Soul

written by: Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

Music has always been a big part of my life. When I was a little girl I sang in the kids choir at Church. When at home I played church,,,I lined up my dollies on the couch and would sing and preach to them. Over the years I sung in Church Choirs and ministered with numerous Gospel Music Groups. Even now I greatly enjOy gathering around the ole piano with Friends and singing!!

When I’m doing housework, cooking, gardening or shopping, I am always humming and singing a song. Most of the time I’m not even aware of it till it’s brought to my attention when someone approaches and tells me they are enjoying my song!

You see…Jesus has placed so much jOy in my soul I just can’t contain it!!

The Lord is my Strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with jOy. I burst out in songs of Thanksgiving.

(Psalm 26:7)

The Lord is my Helper, my Sustainer, my Strength and Protector. the Lifter of my Head and so much more!! Through life’s trial’s and challenges I’ve learned to trust my Lord with all my heart!!  So, when I think of Jesus and what He means to me, my ole heart overflows with so much jOy that I burst out in a hApPy little tune of Praise….anywhere, anytime!  “Jesus” truly is the music of my soul and the reason my ole heart RejOices!!

So no matter where you are or what you’re doing, come on and strike up a little tune…”SiNg for Jesus”!!

This is just one of my favorites…EnjOy!!  ~San

JoY of My Soul

O Lord, Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5)

In Christ alone my soul finds abundant jOy, a peaceful rest, and a blessed hope for all my tomorrows!  As I’ve learned to rest in His presence, I have found my Lord so very Faithful.   HE is the strength for my weakness, He is the Hope for my heart’s despair and He is the jOy of my weary soul!!!  In Christ alone, I have found a fresh breath of New life!I Pray you too will experience the goodness of the Lord!

Lady The Wife of

Noble  Character

This scripture speaks of how to be an excellent Wife and Mother, but the first step is to spend time with the Lord, preparing your heart and drawing closer to the heart of the Father. No matter what stage you are in life, or in your walk with the Lord, striving to become a Proverbs 31 Woman should be put into practice daily. So I encourage you to keep the scriptures posted before you. The ‘Proverbs 31’ Wife is a good provider and protector for all those she loves and cares about. She may be wise to the ways of the world, but her life is guided by the wisdom of God. The key to being a Wife of noble character is found in verse 30, …”But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised”.

My prayer is that you will become a dynamic reflection of God’s amazing love!

Proverbs 31 Woman

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.

She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.

She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

HRN kindness

Try A Little Kindness

Every day we are faced with many choices. But one of the most important things to choose is to begin our day with words of kindness. When we choose our words wisely, we can brighten someone’s day and bring much joy to our own hearts! On the other hand, our negative words have the power to divide and destroy.

Family & Friends are one of God’s greatest Blessings. So let your ‘kindness’ begin with those whom you love and care about so dearly.  When you wake up and in the morning before your feet hit the floor, invite the Lord into your day and ask Him to help you choose your words wisely.  For our actions and reactions set the mode for the whole day.

If you tend be snappy & grumpy in the mornings, just remember this:  God doesn’t just ‘suggest’ we be kind and loving toward each other … HE Commands it!!

God’s command:  “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. (John 15:12)

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32)

Yes, there will certainly be those moments, but be aware of how you treat others.  Your compassion, respect and love may be just what lead’s them to the heart of Christ!!

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. (Philippians 4:5)

Purify yourselves by obeying the Truth so that you have sincere love for each other; love one another deeply, from the heart. (1 Peter 1:22)

Prayer:  “O God, I ask that love, respect and compassion flows freely from my heart to all those around me…especially to those whom I love so dearly!”

“Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting … Don’t only give your care, but give your heart as well”. ~ Mother Teresa

HRN faith hope love2

A Love that’s Real

In this life we have three great lasting qualities—faith, hope and love.  As a follower of Christ, these three virtues must characterize our lives…But the greatest of these is love.

REAL love begins with this…”Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door-frames of your houses and on your gates.” (Deuteronomy 6:5-9)

In other words…Study the Holy Bible and keep God’s Word fresh on your minds and don’t feel so intimidated that you can’t talk about God’s Word.  Speak words of life, bringing hope, peace and even joy into an otherwise dire situation.  Care about other’s and be that great example before your Family & Friends…Love the Lord with ALL your heart & let HIS  love radiate through you to the world around you! That kind of real love transforms lives!!

Now go shine HIS love and make it a great day for someone!!!

Now these three remain…faith. hope and love.  but the greatest of these is Love.  (1 Corin 13:13)

The Perfect Tree

Written by:  Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

I have many beautiful memories of my Brother and I spending hours wading through the snow with a strong determination of finding the perfect Tree.

After we found just the right one, we hitched up “Trigger” our old horse, then went back to the woods and cut the Tree down and hauled it to the house on the old horses’ back.

Momma always had a big pot of steaming Hot Chocolate waiting on the old Wood Stove to warm up these two frozen kids!  It was my Daddy’s job to get that Cedar Tree trimmed and into the house.  Now I could never figure out how that tree could look so small out there in the woods and be so huge when we tried to get through the front door!!  I’m positive that Cedar Tree grew another couple feet after we cut it!! *:o)

Daddy got the ole hand-saw and would generally cut at least 2-feet off in order to get the Tree into the house.  I can still hear Daddy giggling as he looked at me and said…”Why didn’t you get a bigger one Sis”??!!
