Facing Your Fears

Written by Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

Everyone experiences certain degrees of fear from time to time and there is nothing wrong with being afraid, but it’s important to not allow fear to control our lives. When fear comes in like a flood, the Lord certainly understands the cries of a desperate heart. When you’re faced with fear, be open and honest with God, cry out to HIM and tell Him you are afraid and you don’t know what to do. Then acknowledge to God that you are weak, but HE is strong and powerful. And then take you position of Faith, fix your eyes on Jesus and wait upon Him to act. Remember that battle is not yours—but the Lord’s!!

If you be still stand firm in faith, you will be totally amazed as you watch GOD’s perfect plans unfold before you. Don’t be afraid, don’t waver. March right out of that valley —GOD is with you.”

Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

The Spirit commanded: “Be not afraid nor dismayed . . . for the battle is not yours, but God’s. . . Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you” (2 Chronicles 20:12, 15-17)

Be still and know that I am GOD. (Psalm 46:10)

Potholes of Life

written by: Sandy Blaser, Healing Rain to the Nations

These Scriptures have served as a constant reminder of the Lord’s Power, His Compassion and His Faithfulness to me! Even though the doctors were telling me otherwise…I choose to trust God’s word and allow my faith to soar to higher heights.

This is what God says about HIS Word…“So is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:11)

He took up our (my) infirmities and carried our (my)diseases.”(Matthew 8:17) “He was wounded for our (my) transgressions, He was bruised for our (my) iniquities: the chastisement of our (my) peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we (I am) are healed.” (Isaiah 53)

My son, (daughter) pay attention to what I say; listen closely to My words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8)

These promises are just an example of many I found in the Bible. I printed them on post cards and posted them all over my walls, doors & mirrors. One of the first things I had to put into practice was learning how to guard my mind from stinkin’ thinkin’!! As fear would try to grip my heart, I began reading the posted scriptures out loud! (really loud so the devil could hear me!) I daily surrendered my all unto God’s mighty hands and planted my feet on a solid foundation of Jesus Christ. As I stood steadfast in Faith, I began rejoicing and worshiping the Lord with all that was within me! I learned to not to worry and fret, and to never go on what I seen, heard or how I felt. With a child like faith I began to simply Trust and Believe that my Heavenly Father had a divine purpose for my life and His perfect Will shall be done…In His most precise time!!!

Years have come and gone and I can gladly testify that my Jesus is Faithful…I am a victorious Over-comer!!

Yes, life happens and sooner or later there will be challenges and hurdles to cross. But you can prepare yourself! I encourage you to spend quiet time in the Word, in worship and in Prayer. As the trials come, you may find yourself searching for why’s & why not’s, but …”Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Prov 3:5-6)

As you face the impossible; Place your faith in the unseen hand of God. You will find the Lord is ever so faithful to all His promises. So when you hit a pothole in the path of life, remember, God has not forgotten you! He sees you, He knows you, He loves you and awaits with open arms!! Together you will get through this trial!!  Listen to this beautiful song…..

Great is Thy faithfulness!

You Are Royalty

When we accept the Lord as our Savior, we then become part of the most unique family in history – The Royal Family of God…. Here is what the scriptures in the Bible say….

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…”    1 John 3:1

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…”   Romans 8:16,17

I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:18)

For…Those who are victorious will have an inheritance…I will be their God and they will be my children. (Revelation 21:7)

You are a chosen people, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, God’s Special Possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)

God says: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (2 Corinthians 6:16)

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”  (Galatians 4:6-7)

You see, as born again believers of Jesus Christ that means that you & I have then been adopted into the Family of God and He has placed His seal of Son-ship upon us!  We actually become an joint heir to the very Throne of God!

YES, we as are children of the Most High KING and our Crowns belong to the one who set the captives free…. JESUS!  (Revelation 1:5-6)

“How Deep The Father’s Love For Us” by Selah

HRN isa 30.15Those Trying Times

Trials and hardships are a part of life.  Each of us experiences them.  Often they arrive without warning and leave us feeling helpless and out of control.

God uses every trial to draw us into a greater dependency upon HIM.  But in order to really know Christ, we must first learn to be absolutely still before Him, even in the midst of troubled times.  For when the Lord is the anchor of our soul then we learn it’s always best to wait upon Him!  Remember, “Peace” is not the absence of adversity or trouble; it is the presence of Jesus in the midst of our situation!  It’s then we find that He is very faithful to give needed strength to overcome any problems in life, both great and small!

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength…( Isaiah 30:15)

Maybe the road of life seems pretty smooth right now, but hang on tight for sooner or later you will hit a big rut and find yourself at your wits end!  When it happens just remember…Draw close to Jesus—He will calm the winds of adversity in your life!  Keep looking to HIM!

HRN Worry

Why Worry…It solves Nothing!!

Did you know that “Do Not Worry” is in the Bible 365 times?!!  That is a command for each day!!  Did you know that “Worry”, is in a sense taking matters into your own hands and telling God you don’t trust Him!  “Worry” does not add a single day to your life and most definitely DOES NOT solve problems!! In fact it has been proven that worry and anxiety weighs down the heart, making one physically & emotionally ill!!  Worry and fretting is also an open invitation to the enemy to…come on in!

The Word of God gives very clear instructions how we are to face problems of life…“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”. (1 Peter 5:7)  I find that when anxiety is great within me, the Lord’s consolation brings me much peace of mind & His joy replaces my anxiety! Thus, I am able to begin looking at my situation in a more rational way.

Just remember…The LORD loves you and HE promises that HE will sustain you! HE also promises that HE will never let the Righteous be shaken. (Psalm 55:22)  So, don’t just assume that you have all the answers, but be quick to run to God …”Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and HE will make your paths straight”. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

So Today, if you are carrying a heavy load, I encourage you to listen to this beautiful song below and  instead of wasting time worrying, spend some time laying all your cares at the feet of Jesus and begin thanking Him for how He is working in your midst.  As you begin to unload your burdens, you will be amazed how sweet peace comes flooding your soul.  Suddenly you will find a new understanding as you begin viewing your situation in a fresh new light through the eyes & heart of God!

Take a look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they??? (Matthew 6:26)

HRN psalm50.15A Promise from the Lord to YOU…

“Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Psalm 50:15)

Does life seem to be falling apart at the seams??  Don’t be afraid to cry out for “Jesus”. You will be surprised how quickly He acknowledges a Child’s desperate plea! You can trust the Lord to work things out, if only you invite Him into the midst of your situation.  Then pour out your heart to Him and then wait for His perfect timing.  Never forget…HE desires His best for you!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Overcoming Fear

Has fear and doubt come against your mind?  Is your Faith been sorely tried?  Well lift up your eyes, and know help is on the way!

I find it absolutely amazing that “DO NOT be afraid” is in the Bible ‘365’ times—that’s one for each day!  If you are one who struggles with the ‘Spirit of Fear’, then you have allowed yourself to be bound in an emotional prison and that is a miserable place to be! But did you know this?—“Do Not Fear” is not a choice…It is a Command!!!

Through Christ Jesus you have all authority over the enemy!!  So boldly cry out the name of “Jesus”!  The Name above ALL Names makes the enemy run the opposite direction!  When you are tempted to be afraid, quickly take captive of your thoughts; Keep it positive.  Quoting scripture builds your faith and helps you to begin thinking on things that are pure and lovely.

I find that no matter how bad my situation seems to be, there is always something good, some ray of hope in every trial.  Sometimes you just got to search for it!  In doing so, leaves absolutely no room for fear and doubt to settle into your life.  Remember; Christ is WISDOM, so never forget to invite the Lord into your midst.  Where HE is welcomed, He brings with Him Faith, the Spirit of jOy, Peace, Forgiveness, Love and self-control.  It’s all  yours just for the asking….

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  (Joshua 1:9)

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.  (Isaiah 26:3)

HRN trust in christ
Who do You Trust?

Yes I admit, at times hardships overwhelm me and life hardly seems worth all its pain and suffering.  And victory over my circumstances begins to seem like a total illusion.   Does this just happen to describe your situation?

In the midst of all the dark moments of life, let’s don’t forget this one thing:  God created us. WE are HIS prize possession and HE desires a personal relationship with us.  So I ask, can we not trust Him to comfort and bring us through even the darkest trials of life??!

Paul understood this when he wrote:  “We should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead”. (2 Corin 1:9)

You see, the Lord understands your pain and knows your deepest cry.  However as we cry out to HIM, it’s at that point we begin to understand what Paul was saying….No way can we trust ourselves for relief; we must rely upon and totally trust in our Sovereign God.

So when you find yourself in the deep muck & mire of life,… with a childlike Faith, lift your eyes and see, not just the Cross, but the “Risen Saviour”!!  Admit to Him exactly how weak you feel.  Ask Him to restore your joy, heal your hurts and give you the faith and the endurance to keep running the race towards the Finish Line!

So I ask you…”Who do you trust?”  Surely, if God can raise the dead, then my situation is NOT impossible!!   (Listen to the words of this beautiful song below by Avalon……)
