The Hiding Place

There are times in this old world when I feel so weak, so afraid, and so all alone!  As the dark storm clouds gather on the horizon, I quickly run to the place of safety, a place where my soul finds rest.  In the arms of my Jesus is where I seek shelter as the storm winds howl & waves come crashing in!  It is there hidden in HIS presence I shelter from the wilds of this old world!

It’s there in that hiding place the Lord begins to gently speak words of wisdom and encouragement…

”KEEP Clinging to the Promise!…Do not give up!…Do not be afraid!

I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10)

For HE is… a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain. (Isaiah 4:6)

He then instructs me to not worry and brings scriptures to mind…

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Time and time again, God encourages and shower’s me with His love and faithfulness.  HE is a Friend I can depend on.  He is my Guiding Light, the Anchor I cling to, my Eternal Hope of Glory!  As I affirm my love and trust in Him, suddenly my faith is enabled to soar to higher  heights and what looked impossible, somehow gives way to a ray of hope.  As I wait upon HIM, those dark and dreary storm clouds began to give way to brilliant rays of sunlight!
