Even though the battle rages on, with all my heart I will trust in My God!

Throughout the years of my christian walk, God has been so very faithful to His promises. No my life has never been easy. You see, a crippling disease attacked my body at a young age. Therefore I have overcome many obstacles and continue to face strong hurdles along the way. But you see, I made a decision long ago….no matter how rugged the journey gets, I will Trust the Lord and cling tightly to a promise that HIS hand of Mercy will guide me through the heated trials of life.

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,  Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

Now I admit, there are times I’m tempted to just pick-up my toys and go home. Yes, The ole enemy ls persistent, but when the devil starts planting the thought of giving up, that triggers me into action…I begin dwelling upon all the answered prayers and good things that God has done in my life. And with the Lord’s help I keep pressing onward to the finish line, proclaiming the Lord’s amazing faithfulness to me!

You see, I have learned….when a mind is set upon Christ, He begins to flood the heart with jOy and fill the mouth with a songs of Praise! Suddenly I find myself dancing for jOy in the presence of my Holy Lord! You see, I have found that this is the secret to overcoming trials… it is GOD’S Love and “Joy” that keeps me going strong even in the midst of it all!

So when dark clouds seem to be coming your way, just lift your hands toward Heaven and start rejoicing. Focus on the faithfulness of the Lord, and lift your voice proclaiming HIS goodness and His Mercy. Begin thanking the Lord for His answers even when you don’t see it! Keep trusting that sweet victory is just around the bend. Believe me, our enemy can’t stand to be in a place where the jOy of the Lord abides!!

O Lord, May our mouths be filled with laughter, our tongues with Songs of JOY! May it be said among the Nations, “The Lord has done great and mighty things for them.” (Psalm 126:2)
For the JOY of the Lord is our strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

“Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning!”

(Psalms 30:5)

 Keep Standing Strong

Yes, The world seems to be growing mighty strange at a rapid pace! But let us keep in mind…We may live in a world of turmoil, but we are not of this world! For we serve Almighty God, The Divine Creator of The Universe and all that it contains!  Hummm…then surely that means our God is greater than any of the world’s problems!

“Be alert and sober minded. For your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) Therefore, I urge you to prepare yourself “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Yes I admit it’s kinda hard to not go on what you see, hear or feel…Seems the ole enemy is always quick to insert doubt and fear.  But God’s Word says….”Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (But be wise!)  (John 14:27) That’s why it’s so important to keep standing strong in Faith by reading the Bible, imbedding God’s promises deep into your spirit. Do you know God is always with you!  I find talking and listening to the Lord all through the day does wonders to strengthen your prayer life.  And one thing I really have to practice is guarding the devils play-ground…my mind, by choosing to think on good, pure and lovely things!  It helps to keep Praise and Worship Music going all through the day.  Did you know our Prayers and our Worship are our weapons of mass destruction against the devil?!  I encourage you to use your heavenly weapons!!

So yes, it is possible to live a Victorious Christian life in this crazy messed up world.  For we “Live by faith, not by sight,” yet taking a bold and courageous stand for what is right in the eyes of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

So as you continue this journey homeward “May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7)

Remember fear doesn’t stand a chance when you’re standing strong in the everlasting Love of Christ!!

Conquering Your Fear’s

As an African Missionary once told me…When a lion stalks its prey, he roars very loud. You would think that the prey would run, but, the loud roar paralyzes it with fear.

Yes, the enemy prowls aground like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour! But did you know….As a Child of God, the devil has no power over you, but he does toil with your thinking!  Therefore, be quick to recognize where those negative thoughts and fears are coming from. Learn to take control of the “stinkin’ thinkin” and don’t allow the devils lies to linger in your brain!  Be alert, do not allow the enemy to paralyze your faith!  Stand firm in God’s Word, knowing in your heart that the Lord is fighting battles for you…

“Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)

Remember….Your enemy has already been defeated at Calvary by the Blood of the Lamb! So, guard your mind and keep pressing onward, placing all your trust and faith in Jesus Christ. For HE promises to give you the strength to courageously overcome the adversities of life!! I know by experience…Through Christ, you can conquer your fears!!

“God has not given us (you) a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

My child….“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Grace in Time of Need

“Therefore, since we have a Great High Priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the Faith we profess.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did NOT sin.

So…..Let us then approach God’s Throne of Grace with confidence, so that we may receive Mercy and find Grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:15-16)

Hiding Place

Sometimes life seems to be spinning out of control at a high rate of speed.  But Thank the Lord I do not face this chaotic world alone!!! God has proven Himself to be so Faithful and True!  The Lord has become My Safety, My Comfort, the Haven of Rest I run to!  It’s there in the shadow of HIS wing I find rest for my weary soul, hope for all my tomorrows and strength to face another day! I am so amazed, when my mind is steadfast upon the Lord and His Word, HE lifts my burdens and fills my heart with a beautiful song of Praise!! Glory to HIS Name!!

So, if you are finding yourself in a tough place with nowhere to turn, keep this promise in mind…

I will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in (Me). (Isaiah 26:3) I will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain. (Isaiah 4:6)

Do you realize that whatever you are facing, Your Creator, promises to see you through!  But you see, HE is waiting for you to acknowledge… HE is there!

I encourage you to find that secret hiding place.  Search the scriptures and make it a deep personal cry from your heart to the Heart of Your Heavenly Father. (Here’s an example) God is ever listening…

Oh Lord, Your Word says…”When The righteous cry out, the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.(Psalm 34:17)  Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; (Psalm 130:1)  Oh Lord…”You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”  (Psalm 32:7) Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5)

After you have prayed all and cried all…then be still and listen, wait for the Lords loving reply to you…

”I will instruct you and teach you in all the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye upon you”. (Psalm 32:7-8)

Do you know, the Word of God is a love letter to you…embrace it, pray it, and hide it in your heart!

Thank the Lord, in this wild wicked world we live in, HE has provided that secret place of safety and rest where we can run to anytime night or day!! For in all my weakness, I find my peace, jOy and strength in Christ!!!  ~San, HRN

Faith Exercised

Faith is like a muscle, it must be exercised to grow!  The body’s Vital Organs and Skeletal System are protected by muscles.  But, by not taking action and failing to exercise leaves one in a weakened condition, rendered helpless and vulnerable to accident & disease.

The same applies to your Faith! Yes the Word says…”Faith as small as a Mustard seed”, but remember… When that Faith is NOT exercised it leaves you exposed in a weakened condition, defenseless and susceptible to the attacks of the enemy!

So be aware…”The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour”!  As the devil stalks, he is looking for “the weak in Faith”!  The Word says…”Resist the enemy & HE shall flee”, but without exercised faith, you are in a weakened condition and no match for the enemy!

Resistance is found through exercised Faith in Jesus Christ.  Faith is exercised on a daily basis and strengthened through “Prayer, Worship & The Word”.  You see, the Lord desires that you really know HIM!  Listen—HE is calling…“Draw near to ME and I will draw nearer to you.”   And as you yield to the beckoning of HIS still small voice…tarry there.  And there in HIS presence ‘talk to HIM and Listen’…As you will begin experiencing HIS ever abiding love, your Faith will soar to new heights!

An example of this kind of faith is Abraham…He spent time with the Lord.  He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Romans 4:19-22)

The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen your (faith) and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)  Just as Abraham, may you come to recognize the significance of exercising your faith…by spending time at His feet!  For it is there our faith is strengthened and we are equipped for the battle!  Keep in mind…The Lord does not force Himself upon anyone…it is a free choice.  As for me… “Christ” has become an absolute necessity in my life!!

Pray, Wait, Trust…”Dear Lord, Help me to exercise the Faith that I have been given so that I will grow stronger each day.”

His Grace is Sufficient

~Healing Rain to the Nations

Whatever situation I may be facing today, I know in my heart that God’s GRACE is sufficient! In all my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. I have learned to rely upon the Lord…”For when I am weak, HE is strong”. It’s in Christ I find my Hope, my strength and the Grace to face another day.

So when your world is crumbling apart and you just can’t go on, remember…God’s Word says…

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  (2 Corin 12:9)

Almighty God is the only one that can satisfy a weary soul!  Look to Jesus for He is so very faithful and True!!  HE sees you. HE knows you. HE loves you!!!

God’s Point of View

One of the most awesome moments was when I was flying into Portland on a beautiful clear, sunny day. The Pilot announced that it was the clearest he has ever flown. All along the flight He proceeded to point out snow covered mountain’s peaks to the north and to the south. Wow, so amazing! This began to trigger my brain to thinking of how God view’s my own life….

Did you know God has an omniscient, omnipotent view of our lives as believers! Nothing is hidden, He sees all, He knows all! He is aware of every detail of our lives from birth (even before we were conceived) until death! Since God knows every detail of our past, our present and our future so very well, surely I should rely upon Him in every event in my life! Surely without a doubt I can fully trust Him with every moment of my life.

God is an all-seeing, all-knowing God and we can rely upon His strength and wisdom as we face life’s challenges and obstacles! Wow, that means we are not limited by our own strength and wisdom…Thank you Lord!! The Lord has given us the scriptures to help us in making wise decisions from His viewpoint. When we are hemmed in by our circumstances and can’t see from all the fog, we can seek God prayerfully and regularly spend time in His Word which will enables us to break thorough the barriers of life with His insight!!

So rejoice my Friend…even tho sometimes it may feel you are all alone….God knows every detail of your life, He cares and He Loves you with an everlasting Love!! What may seem like an ordinary event or even a disaster in your life…rest assured, God will use all the good and not so good for His Divine Purpose! Trust Him, He will make something beautiful out of your life!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
